About
My name is Véronique Diarra and I am Ivorian originally from Burkina Faso and Congo. I grew up in Abidjan where I studied. This allowed me to become a French teacher, first in a state high school: Lycée Sainte Marie; then in a French establishment abroad: Collège Jean Mermoz.
In 2004 I went to France and continued my teaching career there. In 2017, I discovered writing by writing my first novel:
* Shuka the Sacred Dancer
Then three other novels followed:
* No, I won't be silent anymore
* Agnonlètè an Amazon life
* The last journey of King Aboubakry Keïta
Finally, I opened my own edition: VD editions to produce my own writings. I decided to specialize in the historical novel to rewrite the History of Africa muzzled or distorted by ill-informed or ill-intentioned people.
It is high time that Afro descendants, whatever their continent, know the past of their Ancestors, the brilliant civilizations they created, the rich empires they founded.
I offer my readers long journeys into the past so that they learn who their illustrious ancestors were and realize how much it is a matter of pride to belong to the Black People.
